New Websites Added to the Planning / Urban Studies Pages

Thanks to a great webliography in January's College and Research Libraries News, I've added a few websites to the Planning Web pages
(http://library.ucalgary.ca/subjectpages/
socialsciences/urbanstudies/index.php
)

I'm still updating so more sites will be forthcoming. The ones that have just been added are:

Urban Institute (http://www.urban.org/)
"A nonpartisan economic and and social policy research organization." It includes issues relevant to planners.

Urban Planning Now http://www.urbanplanningnow.com/
Provides links to various planning agencies by state and category. Unfortunately, the job service requires a subscription.

APA New Urbanism Division
(http://www.planning.org/newurbanism/index.htm)

Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP)
A "consortium of university-based programs offering credentials in urban and regional planning."

Community Development Society (http://comm-dev.org/)
"...provides leadership to professionals and citizens across the spectrum of community development."

Urban Affairs Association (http://www.udel.edu/uaa/)
An "international professional organization for urban scholars, researchers, and public service providers. UAA exists to:
- Encourage the dissemination of information about urbanism and urbanization
- Support the development of university education, research, and service programs in urban affairs
- Provide leadership in fostering urban affairs as a professional and academic field "
